Congratulations to Mt Dora High School
for submitting the winning entry for Challenge 1: Olympic Wreath!

s

It was created by student D'Ondrae Dixon with the guidance of Science teacher Ms. Ann Holt. D'Ondrae's entry will now be submitted to the international panel of judges and compete with entries from students around the world.

D'Ondrae's wreath showcased 4 plants commonly found in Florida -- Spanish moss, slash pine, passion flower and wild grape. Judges were impressed with the balanced use and scaling of the plant elements in order to make a practical yet distinguished crown for Olympians. His writing piece gave great insight into each plant's growing habits and their importance to our society.
