Lake County Schools Join the Environmental Movement

Lake County schools will undertake the Fairchild Challenge at Cherry Lake Tree Farm again this school year, motivating students to think critically about environmental issues and respond through means that are both innovative and effective.

The Fairchild Challenge @ Cherry Lake Tree Farm is a multi-disciplinary, environmental education outreach program designed to give Lake County high school students an opportunity to shine. By appealing to their innate sense of curiosity and creativity about the world around them, the Challenge invites students to learn, to investigate the thorniest of environmental issues, to devise imaginative and effective responses to these issues and to take action – at any level – to address them.
