This course will explore the topic of landscape establishment and performance. How do we define performance and how can we optimize performance after transplant? The course will discuss the importance of proper installation and tree quality as two critical factors determining landscape success. We will discuss ways to enhance performance by looking at best management practices for large tree installation and production. Attendees will learn about root systems and root manipulation as well as about the differences between B&B and container production methods.
