All
the tree material produced by Cherry LakeTree Farm is grown in Air-Pot
containers designed to achieve optimal root structure. Our Root
Enhancement™ System is utilized during the propagation stage
and at every other stage of the product development process.

The
Air-Pot: A revolution in root pruning!
This three
dimensional air-prunning container is the most sophisticated
root pruning container to-date. The unique cone like structures
on the inner and outer surfaces of the container direct roots
into the air holes, preventing spiraling roots and stimulating
new root flush from within the core of the system. The result
is uniform radial root development around the ball and dense
fiberous roots throughout the core of the system. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
| In
addition to the Air-Pot, we use a variety of root-enhancement techniques
in various combinations to give our trees as solid a foundation as
possible. The methods employed are specific to the tree's size and
characteristic root structure and may include mechanical, chemical
or air prunning. |

Benefits
|
|
|
Instant
Impact - Our trees are distinguished by tree mass in relation
to canopy density, uniformity, caliper and major scaffolding limbs.
The appearance of our trees' foliage is vigorous, healthy, and rich
in color.
|
 |
| |
|
| Performance
After Transplant - Our trees fulfill the criteria of three
major root structure issues. These are (1) uniform, crown-root development
to insure secondary-root development and proper tree anchoring, (2)
uniform, secondary-root development for abundant fibrous, root development,
and (3) dense, fibrous, feeder roots (non spiraling) that allow the
tree to absorb maximum quantities of air, water and nutrients. |

| Root
Systems with these Qualities: |
|
| |
-
Increase survivability
- Are less likely to experience transplant shock
- Require less time to permanently anchor in native soils
- Experience an accelerated rate of growth for many years. |
